Director of Programmes

The Director of Programmes will work closely with the Executive Director (ED) to manage current programmes, and lead the programme team to new programme development and strategy, and ensure effective programme coordination and technical support, monitoring and evaluation, quality assurance and accountability in close collaboration with the communications and fundraising teams. The position is performed remotely, although it is preferred the director is located in London, UK. S/he will help represent IWI’s programmes to donors, major stakeholders (including those from the private sector), relevant government authorities and other programme partners. This is a volunteer position which is performed remotely.

Director of Fundraising

IWI’s Director of Fundraising will be responsible for identifying donor resources, raising funds and writing proposals for long-term organisational sustainability with the aid of fundraising assistants. The Director will provide general oversight and day to day operation of all fund development operations including, but not limited to, all fund raising activities, promotion, special events, policies and procedures, record keeping, and support for active volunteers.  This is a volunteer position which is performed remotely.

Director of PR & Marketing

IWI is seeking a Director of Public Relations & Marketing to manage a team of marketers, and to nurture a strong industry network, increase awareness and develop an enviable image by developing and executing effective communication and media relations programmes.  This is a volunteer position which is performed remotely.  London based applicants preferred.

Social Media Coordinator

IWI is in need of a Social Media Coordinator to attract and interact with targeted virtual communities through our various social media accounts, and to manage Social Media Specialists and their interaction with supporters. Our goal is to increase our reach and support base by interacting and attracting a larger online audience. The goal is to achieve superior supporter intimacy, website traffic and larger donor base by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap. This is a volunteer position which is performed remotely.  London based applicants preferred.

Advocacy Research Assistant

Under the direction of the Director of Advocacy, the Advocacy Research Assistant supports the mission of International Women’s Initiative, as well as help to develop the team by providing accurate, timely, and reliable information to respond to the research needs of the various aspects of our advocacy focus.  This position requires someone who has excellent research, writing, and communication skills, is self-motivated, reliable, organised, thorough and timely. This is a volunteer position which is performed remotely.  Applicants must be London based.

Grant Writers

Grant Writers are responsible for developing and writing grant proposals to grant-making organisations, and will persuasively communicate IWI’s mission and programmes to potential funders. The Grant Writer will assemble and submit grant requests, establish and maintain personal contact and relationships with granter contacts, conduct prospect research, and maintain a calendar of submissions and other deadlines. This position requires someone who has excellent research, writing, and communication skills, is self-motivated, reliable, organised, thorough and timely. This is a volunteer position. This is a volunteer position which is performed remotely.  A WRITING SAMPLE MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE APPLICATION EMAIL.

News Writers

We are looking for successful and enthusiastic News Writers to create original news content for online publication, as it relates to women’s human rights. As a News Writer you will research and write news stories for publication in an honest, ethical and unbiased way as it relates to women and their experience globally. Knowledge of women’s human rights issues in Asia, Africa and Latin America are a plus.  This is a volunteer position which is performed remotely.
