Kamini Paul has more than 18 years professional experience in project management as an International Consultant and Adviser for Bi-lateral, multi-lateral and non-government organisations. Clients include the Department for International Development UK Aid (DFID), World Bank, European Commission, UN Agencies (UNHCR, UNWomen, UNICEF, OCHA, UNAMA), USAID, Oxfam. Kamini is currently a Trustee for the Farkhunda Trust, which is a London based charity, providing scholarships to Afghan girls to excel academically and professionally, allowing them to become financially independent and that their success will encourage and inspire other young women to pursue higher education.
Chiara is an experienced researcher with a Master’s Degree in Economics. In 2014-2015 she was part of the Irish Aid Ethiopia Programme under the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Irish Government. Her work focused on the promotion of good governance practices in the provision of public services, capacity building of civil society and facilitation of dialogue with government, protection of human rights and combating violence against women and children. Additionally, she was personally responsible for setting up and managing a new collaboration with the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission with a view to provide free legal aid and other support services to women and girls victims of violence.
Christy currently works for the UK government as a policy advisor, striving to create a more inclusive economy in Britain. Previously she worked for Zurich Insurance as an Underwriter, and played a key leadership role in their national women's network - winning a Rising Stars in the City award for her work. Christy has a Masters degree in Sociology from the LSE and a first-class degree also in Sociology from the University of Nottingham.
Lily is IWI's Director of Events and along with her team is responsible for developing the strategy and production of IWI's events. Lily has a Bachelor's degree in English and Anthropology from the University of Virginia and started her career with Argyle Executive Forum in New York where she led on content development and account management for a suite of executive forums. She also launched the company's first online content hub. She now works at EY where she's a marketing manager for the UK banking & capital markets practice covering everything from marketing strategy to proof-reading materials.
Now based in London, Meghann grew up in Melbourne, Australia, and was raised in a family of strong and courageous women. Her mother, who lived through a difficult childhood, inspires her passion for gender equality and women’s rights awareness. Her sister inspires her to be the best woman she can be.
Meghann has led on a number of high-profile campaigns including Mardi Gras, Grand Prix and the Australian Open and on various Diversity and Inclusion initiatives. In her current role, she leads on a bank-wide cultural transformation communications strategy. She has produced an accredited research paper for the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission and worked with Melbourne based non-profit, Friends of Kolkata, to advance women’s rights in India. She is excited to be on the IWI team, where she gets to work alongside likeminded professionals.
Sana Khan has over 12 years of experience in the International Humanitarian Development Sector. She earned her Master degrees in Business Administration from Quaid e Azam University in Islamabad Pakistan and Masters degree in Political Science, with a concentration on various international professional courses, trainings and diplomas on human resource management, administration, labour laws and to work in emergencies. Throughout her career, Ms Khan has worked in various challenging contexts and countries, with insecure and under developed context; building HR strategies and implementation approaches in emergencies and regular projects. Sana’s interest in women’s rights is that men in dominating societies have yet to be respectful of the contributions made by women. She joined IWI to ensure correct human resource procedures and protocols are in place, to benefit staff and to enable IWI to further protect women’s human rights and raise awareness worldwide.
Ashley is IWI's Director of Advocacy. He received his degree in law, obtaining a first class honours from Kingston University and has further obtained his Masters degree in law - with a specific focus on international human rights law. Ashley has previously worked with legal charities focusing on human rights issues in the U.K. In addition, Ashley is an avid cyclist and fitness enthusiast.
Caitlin has over ten years of experience in global health and nursing. She received her Bachelors of Science in nursing with a concentration in global health from Georgetown University and a Masters in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a focus in maternal & child health and global health. Throughout her career, Caitlin has worked in various global health projects, including clinical work in sub-Saharan Africa and published qualitative research evaluating HIV/AIDS-related stigma in South Africa. Caitlin has presented at the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care conference and has also worked to establish a maternal and child health programme for refugees in Rwanda. She is a feminist who is passionate about global health and women’s human rights.
Spardha is an engineering graduate from India, which she followed up with an MBA and a great business experience at Tata Consultancy Services, where she was responsible for event planning and management, internal communications and product campaigns. To further her passion for marketing, she earned a Masters in Marketing Communications from the University of Westminster, followed by a stint at a publishing house looking after their social media and digital marketing efforts.
