Roisin currently works in an education charity in the UK, project managing their English as an Additional Language programme; supporting teachers and schools with high percentages of students with additional language needs. She is a passionate believer that the most effective and efficient way to tackle the issues that the world currently faces, is through informative and quality education and information sharing. In her recently completed Master's degree she was introduced to a range of contemporary issues that disproportionately affect women; such as their disproportionate involvement with the informal economy, the gender imbalance in the distribution of aid and the struggle that many young women must face when attempting to access education at all levels. She hopes that the research and writing IWI produces will help to highlight and eventually eliminate the inequalities that women deal with daily across the world. Roisin is currently working on an IWI project on women in Syria and also writes for the Latinamericanpolitics.org website, focusing on Mexican and Central American contemporary political issues.
