Over the past seven years, Jamiey has worked in a variety of cooperative, collective and volunteer-based organisations, with most of his work focused on community building and concrete social justice work. He also has a lot of experience in team building, training and coaching volunteers, as well as developing systems of collective accountability. His interest in women's rights stems from his academic projects which have focused on charity, political philosophy, feminism and human development. As a feminist, he is proud to join our team and work to support gender justice strategies
Magdalena is a HR Professional with several years of experience in Generalist HR across many different industries including media, technology and NGOs. She has a degree in sociology and completed her CIPD qualifications from South Bank University in London. Magdalena is passionate about working in underdeveloped countries, and she sees herself working in humanitarian response in the future. She feels very strongly about sustaining the culture and traditions of underdeveloped countries as well as helping them to achieve adequate standards of living. She hopes that working at IWI will contribute to this cause along with bringing her closer to her goals.
Currently Silvia is an intern in an European Liaison Office in Brussels. She did her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Management at LUISS Guido Carli in Rome and is concluding her Master’s Degree in Economics and Business Management focusing on Directional Consultancy. In her Thesis she is analysing the possibility to implement sustainable careers within project-based organisations, and is really keen on HR issues.
Silvia feels it’s important to take action in projects that aims to help people, and always tries to be the kind of person she would like to meet. For this reason, she is honoured to be part of the HR team of IWI and believes this is a great opportunity to grow.
