Laurel Jansury has over 5 years of experience in the International Development field. She earned her Master of Arts degree in International Development from The George Washington University, with a concentration in Education in Emergencies. Throughout her career, Laurel has worked in various areas from promoting democracy building and human rights in Syria during the civil war to rebuilding houses in the Philippines post-Typhoon Haiyan. Laurel's interest in women's rights stems from her belief that all members of society need to participate in community development in order for there to be change. She joined IWI to help educate people about women's rights and raise awareness worldwide.
Born in Brazil, Arthur holds a BA in International Relations and a duel (Portugal & UK) Master's degree in Peace and Security Studies. Arthur has three years of experience in project assistance in the topics of sustainable agriculture, social inclusion, women's empowerment and sustainable development goals. His previous experience is with local NGOs in Brazil, Portugal, the UN (UNESCO-HQ) in France and government agencies for development in Belgium. Arthur will also soon start his PhD in Development Studies at University College London in the UK.
